Ask your MSP to stand up for walking

On 3 September, the Scottish Government announced that active and sustainable travel funding will be cut by £23.7m this financial year – further distancing them from their commitment to reach at least £320m or 10% of the transport budget spent on active travel by 2024-25. From formerly boasting UK-leading targets, Scotland is now falling behind other nations.

These cuts are a backward move for active travel and will counteract the progress we’ve seen in recent years.

Please help us stop cuts to this vital funding, we cannot afford a backward step for walking.

Our simple form will allow you to write to your MSP and tell them why active travel matters to you and why these cuts should be reversed. We have suggested a template, but feel free to use your own words – making your letter personal is always best.
