TELL YOUR COUNCILLOR IT'S TIME TO DELIVER BETTER STREETS FOR LIVERPOOL

In April, a version of our Ten Asks for Safer Streets were voted through with unanimous support by Liverpool City Council 

It is now up to us to translate this political support into action. 

The motion 'Better Streets for Liverpool' is a blueprint for the changes needed to make our streets safer and more accessible for all:

1. Prioritise safer routes to school

2. Ensure clear and accessible pavements 

3. Adopt 20mph as the default speed limit 

4. Create calmer, greener residential streets

5. Expand Bus Priority

6. Deliver a connected, protected cycle network 

7. Fix dangerous junctions 

8. Give walking and wheeling priority 

9. Improve secure bike storage 

10. Act on air quality data

Getting these Ten Asks onto the table for discussion at Liverpool City Council is a real milestone in itself. Getting them passed unanimously by councillors of all political parties is a huge boost for the campaign. 

We now need to strengthen the Better Streets vote and show that it has support among constituents.
