Tell your council that pavements are for people not robots
People across the UK are telling us that delivery robots will discourage them from leaving their homes. That they are concerned the robots could collide with them or their loved ones.
Half of Britons say delivery robots should not be allowed on the pavement, and four in five say delivery robots could cause problems for blind and disabled pedestrians.
Despite delivery robots operating under no national framework, we’re still seeing local authorities announce new, local operations.
These roll-outs are being introduced into our communities before the UK Government has conducted trials to fully understand the risks delivery robots may pose to people walking and wheeling.
Living Streets is calling on local leaders to halt planned use of delivery robots on public pavements while the UK Government considers any future legal framework.
Tell your council* that your local pavements are not for sale, and you don't want to see delivery robots where you live.
